Hi, I’m John.

I’m John Gerassimou, a software engineer working across distributed systems, ML infrastructure, and data platforms.

Currently, I work on ML serving infrastructure at Meta, supporting feed recommendations across Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.

Before that, I worked across data platforms, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure at Unity, Askuity, Badal.io, and LCBO. I also spent time at York University’s Adaptive Software Research Lab (CERAS), where I worked on big data platforms for IoT applications.

I’ve taught programming and data analytics courses, spoken about streaming systems at developer events, contributed to open source, and mentored engineers and students.
